MERLE BRUNO has received the National Association of Realtors e-PRO designation to use the most current computer and Internet marketing and social networking tools, and she has the SRES designation--Senior Real Estate Specialist. She keeps clients up-to-date on the marketing of their homes and their searches for new property. Merle worked at Hampshire College for over 38 years where she was on the Natural Science faculty and occasionally served as dean. She served on the board of the Hitchcock Center for the Environment for 6 years as they developed and built a Living Building--the most sustainable and healthy building design known today. Through knowledge of the academic world in the Pioneer Valley Merle is tied into many local populations who are first time buyers or who are either new to the area or expanding or paring down their residential needs. Until recently, Merle partnered in real estate with her husband Peter Vincent who has been a REALTOR® in the Valley for 30 years and before that worked as an energy conservation consultant and residential contractor. Peter has retired from active real estate to spend more time hiking, biking, and golfing, but he is still retains his real estate license and is around to provide advice, support, and referrals.

We bought our house in Hadley with the help of Merle and Peter last fall. It was a long distance purchase for us since were still in California. But with Peter's background in construction and Merle's thoroughness with detail, it went smoothly. Their knowledge of the area and access to local resources made the process mostly stress-free. I worked with both Peter and Merle. They were incredibly helpful and amenable to my crazy schedule and situation (I was living out of state at the time). They were excellent about giving me recommendations and showed me places I requested to see but they didn't think I'd like (and they were usually right).
